Fight the South East Asian Haze with QNET’s advanced air purifier called AirPure

The hazardous smokey haze that has stricken Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore is dominating world headlines. The haze is expected to persist as forest fires continue to burn out of control across Indonesia.

In response to the haze effecting large parts of South East Asia, QNET would like to provide a timely reminder about the advanced capabilities of our air purifier, AirPure.

Pollution in Malaysia and Singapore from the fires is the worst on record. Worse still is that Indonesia is only at the beginning of its dry season. This means haze producing conditions are likely to continue through to at least September. This problem is not going to go away quickly, so it is important to take steps to protect the health and well-being of you, your family and loved ones.

The people most at risk are the elderly, pregnant women, children and people with lung disease, heart disease or stroke. The N95 mask is prescribed for outdoor use yet people at risk may be unable to wear a mask for prolonged periods due to reduced lung capacity.

The Governments of Singapore and Malaysia have advised all residents to stay indoors as much as possible. Therefore, inside it is important to do what you can to ensure the air you breathe is safe. Air conditioners do filter the air; however additional filtration can be achieved using an air purifier such as QNET’s AirPure.

The AirPure is now available in your eStore and when you purchase the AirPure we will also include an AirPure Antibacterial Essential Oil free of charge. The healing aroma of AirPure Essential Oil is diffused throughout your room when added to the water tank of the AirPure.

The United Nations has called on Governments to do more, with greater urgency, to tackle the challenges associated with worsening air quality in the Asia Pacific. The problem may seem big but you can improve the quality of the air you breathe today.

How the AirPure Helps Fight the Haze

The main risk from the haze is toxic particles called PM2.5 which refers to “particulate matter” above 2.5 microns in size. Even when the haze has eased, levels of these particles remain above safe levels.

AirPure air flow

Representation of advanced two-stage air flow through the AirPure unit.

AirPure is the world’s first and only air purifier that combines two advanced and highly-effective purification methods, water surface trapping and nano-membrane technology, to remove 99.9% of particle pollution from the air.

Air is drawn into the AirPure unit and is firstly passed through the water surface trapping process to remove toxic particles PM10 and above. Air is then forced through a second stage of treatment, an organic polymer nano-membrane, which filters out all remaining particles down to 0.1 microns. This two stage process ensures all harmful particles such as PM2.5 are completely removed and only 99.9% pure air is emitted.
